National Park Plitvice Lakes is the most popular park in Croatia, which is situated almost half way between the capital Zagreb and Zadar. This unique place, with numerous crystal green-blue lakes, will transport you to a magical world. Due to vast forest areas, giant waterfalls, exceptionally rich flora and fauna, UNESCO placed this park on their world heritage list in 1979. So, how does it work? How do I book a daily tour to the National Park Plitvice Lakes?

Usually, we pick you up at a predefined time around 07:30-9:00 in the morning at your desired pick up point and drive you almost completely with the new motorway (half way with the old road) directly to the second entrance, which is around a 2 hours' car drive. We will help you to buy the entrance tickets and explain the roadmap there and how to follow the signs marked by letters and numbers inside the National Park.

At the second entrance, you are heading by train directly up the mountain to start from the upper lakes. A well-laid out system of wooden walkways allows you to pass all around, and sometimes through, the water. A series of walks of varying durations are mapped out from either entrance, and all involve walking on wooden walkways, as well as an electric boat ride across Kozjak lake. We recommend starting from entrance 2, so you visit all the upper lakes.

The walks recommended by the national park are distinguished by letter and color. From entrance number 2, it's possible to choose a "K" walk in which you can visit all the lakes on foot or one of the shorter walks. Along the way, it stops at Kozjak lake for the boat ride that takes you in 20 minutes to the big waterfalls and the lower smaller lakes. Here, you will see all big waterfalls, be able to have a picnic, take a coffee and eat something, re-energize and then finish the second half of the tour. You will arrive at entrance 1, where our driver will be waiting for you, so you don’t need to walk all the way back to entrance 2. This way, you will manage to see and visit the most popular parts and get the most out of your daily trip to National Park Plitvice Lakes. We will make an appointment for pick up in about 3-6 hours later on the spot you prefer and take you back later, so you have ample of time to visit the entire park.
